Mathematics

Mathematics is an all-encompassing field in today’s dynamic society. Students need to acquire the foundation to discern, adapt, and make rationale decisions. Increasing knowledge and understanding of a variety of data and technology develops independent, responsible problem solving and decision making students.

Mathematics can help students better understand society and the environment they live in. Mathematics also creates opportunities for students to develop and strengthen their creative thinking skills.

Across Elementary School, our Mathematics program takes into account the relatively strong mathematical skills of our students. For this reason, the curriculum is organized to provide access to standards of Mathematics beyond the recognized grade level. While providing all of our students with an appropriately challenging Mathematics program, we also encourage those students with strong mathematical skills to learn at more advanced levels.
