Social Studies

The objective of this course is to develop in students an understanding of self, group membership and global communities by incorporating elements of History, Geography and citizenship in one program.

Although the course assumes an American perspective, a special emphasis is placed upon the integration of international perspectives to facilitate the development of meaningful learning experiences.

Social Studies is an integral component of our daily instruction. A broad range of media including audio-visual and information technology skills are integrated into this program. Our ultimate goal is to promote social and civic responsibility among our students in an ever diverse, changing, and interdependent world.
